Jeden budynek,
pięć mieszkań i sześć postaci. Tragikomiczne osobowości prowadzą nędzne życie,
którego nie boją się stracić. Boją się za to żyć. Publiczność podgląda ich
codzienne życie - w ciemnym, klaustrofobicznym otoczeniu, pełne obaw, obsesji i
samotności. "Merlin Puppet Theater " umyślnie dramatyzuje i
demonizuje obsesje bohaterów, by ostatecznie wyzwolić ich w najbardziej
brutalny sposób.
Twórcy nie
próbują przeprowadzać analizy egzystencjalnej. Przedstawiają współczesny model
życia w jego zastanej formie. Tragedię i Komedię. W ciemnych pokojach zostaje ukazana
samotność współczesnego człowieka. W domach - niczym w więzieniach - ludzie są
uwikłani w rutynę i swoje przyzwyczajenia, odległe od ich marzeń.

One building, five apartments and
six main characters. Comical-tragical personalities, leading a miserable life
which they are not afraid to lose. They are rather afraid to live. The
spectator is watching them living their conventional lives in a dark,
claustrophobic setting, with their fears, and obsessions. "Merlin Puppet
Theatre” artists are dramatizing and demonizing the obsessions of their
characters until they finally punish and liberate them with the most violent
manner.
"Merlin" does not attempt
to make existential analysis through their work. The artists present the modern
way of living in its current form. Through dark rooms of "Clown’s
Houses", the loneliness of the modern man is displayed; prison-like
houses, people trapped into their routines and habits, being distant from their
dreams.
